John Houston is a gospel singer and songwriter born, raised, and inspired by Detroit. His projects have musical richness and distinct versatility. He’s been blessed to have been selected in the top 20 of BET’s Sunday Best, and to have worked with Gospel greats such as, Pastor Mike Jr., Eric Dawkins, J. Moss and James Fortune. John was recently featured on Hulu during Essence Fest’ New and Next as the only gospel artist selected. John’s intriguing performance abilities have afforded him the opportunity to sing at a host of local and National venues, including being the featured artist at the Nation’s largest Black educator’s convention in Washington, DC. His songwriting skills have also been note-worthy with his latest writing project, “Never Leave Me”, being featured on Pastor Mike Jr’s  Award winning album, Impossible. Considering current events, John is using his music to help people cope with the many challenges of the racial and political climate, injustice, the economy and health crises’.
